INTRODUCTION

When you join a Music Society, you get the opportunity to listen to music in a friendly atmosphere, to discuss your likes and dislikes and hear the views of others. An in-depth knowledge of music is certainly not necessary although it obviously isn't a handicap either.

Other advantages that you gain are those common to most societies - pleasures from new friendships, a happy social atmosphere, and widening horizons - and not all the talk is about music!
The best way of discovering what happens is to attend one of our programmes, take out an evening's temporary membership and to talk to the members. You are welcome to do this without being under any obligation.

CLARE HAMMOND
A pianist of amazing power and panache - Daily Telegraph

Clare has given performances across the UK, Europe, Russia and Canada including appearances over the past year at the Wigmore, Barbican and Bridgewater Halls.

Her recital will include music by Satie, Ravel, Liszt and Albeniz.
