Do You Like Music?

Then come and join us......

We meet virtually every two weeks
on Mondays starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm.
throughout our Season in the

Junior Library
Princess Alexandra Walk, Huddersfield

If you enjoy classical music you are bound to find something to your taste. You will also probably hear something you have not heard before but then life would be dull if we only listened to the same thing over and over. All items are introduced by the presenter in an easily understood way - we are not musicians! We are friendly and try to make newcomers welcome. The room is excellent (warm in winter and acoustically good) and the chairs reasonably comfortable. So why not come along to a few meetings and see if you enjoy them? They are well varied so don’t judge us by one. It’s better than watching the box most of the time. One of the pleasures of listening to music at our meetings is the shared experience without domestic interruptions. We believe that our standard of sound reproduction is well above that which the average listener has at home. To that end we have invested in equipment of a high standard and, in the excellent acoustic of the library, we attain a very listenable result.

For those interested in technicalities, we own the following items:
Quad 33/405-2 amplification; Arcam Alpha 6plus CD player, Sony MDS JES10 minidisc recorder; Aiwa AD-F660 cassette player; Connoisseur LP turntable with SME Series 3 arm and Shure V15 MkIII cartridge. The loudspeakers are Castle Eden mounted on bass units using the well known KEF B139 units.
