SUMMARY OF CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
SCARBOROUGH R.M.S. 55TH A.G.M., 21 APRIL 2010

Marion Cooper said that 14 programmes had been enjoyed over the season, 4 of them being given by guest presenters. The usual high standard had been maintained. She reported on the annual spring lunch, and the attendance by some members at a few sessions of the excellent Annual Yorkshire Regional Spring Music Weekend held as usual in Scarborough.
Like so many sister societies our membership was slowly declining. As a result the Committee was proposing that to attract new members our society met in a more central venue in Scarborough (the Main Library) and also hold afternoon rather than evening meetings. [This proposal was accepted by the members.]
