George Steele has been a member of the FRMS Committee since October 2006. He quickly became the photographer for FRMS events and in 2007 took on the role of WebMaster. In that capacity he has completely redesigned and revitalised the FRMS website making it a valuable source of information for affiliates and members. George continued to act as Webmaster until March 2020, when Ron Mitchell took over the role.

George has been a member of Rochdale Gramophone Society for 20 years and is a past Chairman of that Society. He regularly makes music presentations at his own and other societies.

He is also a keen photographer, lecturer and judge of photographic competitions and is a past President of Bury Photographic Society.
