Lyndon Jenkins: Mainly for Pleasure
Town Hall Birmingham,
Thursday 25 September, 12.30pm

Town Hall & Symphony Hall intend to host a concert to celebrate the life of our friend and colleague Lyndon Jenkins in whose life music played such an important role. I now have further details to share with you and wanted to offer you a priority opportunity to obtain seats for the concert which will take place at Town Hall Birmingham on Thursday 25 September, 12.30-1.45pm.

The concert intends to illustrate some of the many facets of Lyndon's career as a musicologist, broadcaster and writer, from supporting the careers of young musicians, to his love for English, Danish and light music.

I am delighted the concert will be hosted and introduced by Julian Lloyd Webber with contributions from some of Lyndon's many musical friends to whom we are sincerely grateful:

Alicja Smetana (violin)
Di Xiao (piano)
Jiaxin Lloyd Webber (cello)
John Lill (piano)
Mark Bebbington (piano)
Rebeca Omordia (piano)
Signe Asmussen (mezzo soprano)
Tasmin Little (violin) & John Lenehan (piano)

HOW TO BOOK TICKETS

Seating is reserved and there is no charge for the tickets but a retiring collection will be taken in aid of Town Hall and Symphony Hall's work in supporting aspiring young musicians, something that Lyndon was always seeking to encourage.
